Your Safety Depends on Reliable Braking

If your brakes don’t work properly, you can’t stop safely. Worn pads, warped discs or low fluid all make braking worse.

We inspect, service and repair brakes. Pad replacement, disc machining, fluid changes, we’ll sort it.

Brake Pad Replacement – We fit new brake pads when yours are worn. Worn pads damage discs and don’t stop as well.
Brake Disc Machining – Worn or warped discs make your car vibrate when you brake. We machine them smooth if there’s enough metal left.
Brake Disc Replacement – Discs that are too thin or badly damaged get replaced with new ones.
Brake Fluid Flush – Brake fluid goes bad over time and stops working properly. We flush it out and replace it with fresh fluid.
Caliper Service – Sticking calipers cause uneven braking and premature pad wear. We service and lubricate calipers to keep them working smoothly.
Brake Line Inspection – We check brake lines and hoses for leaks, damage and corrosion. Faulty lines are dangerous and need replacing.
Handbrake Adjustment – A loose handbrake won’t hold your car on hills. We adjust and repair handbrakes to work properly.

Don’t ignore brake problems. They only get worse. Watch for these warning signs:

Squealing or grinding noises when braking. Squealing usually means pads are worn. Grinding means you’re down to metal and damaging the discs.
Vibration or pulsing through the brake pedal. Warped or uneven discs cause this. Needs fixing before it gets worse.
Soft or spongy brake pedal. Could be air in the lines, worn brake fluid or a leak. Get it checked.
Brake pedal goes to the floor. This is dangerous. Could be a leak or serious brake failure. Don’t drive the car.
Car pulls to one side when braking. One side is grabbing more than the other. Could be a sticking caliper or contaminated pad.
Brake warning light is on. Your car is telling you there’s a problem. Could be low fluid, worn pads or a system fault.
Burning smell after braking. Overheated brakes or a sticking caliper. Stop and let them cool down.

Look after your brakes and they’ll look after you:

Get your brakes checked if you notice any warning signs. Catching problems early saves money.
Have your brake fluid changed every two to three years. Old fluid causes corrosion and reduces braking performance.
Don’t ride your brakes downhill. Use lower gears to control speed on long descents.
Listen for unusual noises. Squealing, grinding or scraping all mean something’s wrong.
Check your handbrake works properly. If it’s loose or won’t hold the car, get it adjusted.
